The Met Ball – A Punk Revolution

Just catching up on the fashion news from last night and here is our round up of who we think rocked the punk theme.

We love the studding and the heavy eyes, Carla Delevingne in head to toe Burberry.

Less Punk, but we love her and she looks gorgeous, Emma Watson. Dress by Prabal Gurung- custom made of course.

Kristen Stewart is rocking it here in a playsuit from Stella McCartney, some Doc Martens would have taken it from Red Carpet to Carnaby St circa 1970.

A punked up Biker Jacket gave Sienna Miller a vampish edge.

Last and certainly not least Sarah Jessica rocking the punk trend with a mohican to be proud of. Giles Deacon.

Prints Charming – the new Samantha Sung prints

Check out the new season Samantha Sung prints.  Samantha’s artistic prints this season tick many of the print trends as well as colour trends.

We love the abstract mix of Guggenheim, Eagles and Pollack.

Wear with flats teamed with a cardy or work the look with heels and a belt. Either way there is a reason the Audrey dress is such a popular style. The 1940′s/50′s look continues to be on trend and the new prints Samantha introduces each season refresh the look. So pick a print and you are ready to go.

Show Season- A Paris Finale

We took the early morning fashion express to Gard du Nord and trekked our way around a dozen appointments all in the name of Autumn Winter 2013.

Morning Coffee at 10 Crosby Derek Lam

First Stop 10 Crosby; we fell in love with the  fabulous and wearable knits in a muted palette of off-whites, nude, navy and caramel.

A huge collection but we edited out our ‘must haves’,  some colour-block blouses and luxurious knits top of the list.

Show Season Part Four- Ciao Bella

Milan Fashion Week, a huge wealth of big established names show in Milan delivering some of the big new season trends. We pick out our favourite looks emerging from the catwalk.

Metallics

This season the metallic trend is becoming bolder and we love this Prada dress

Hitchcock Heroines

We love the 1940′s revival with the vibrant emerald green hues and nipped in waist from Prada, you could see the blend of 40′s and 50′s mixed.

At Bottega Veneta the look is sculpted and cinched in

Sports – Mod

A big trend this season and we see this following into AW13. Our favourite sports mod look from Etro…

Show Season Part Three – London Round Up

London Fashion Week is hotting up. The press is awash with news of the top notch designers showing here this season and the elite models taking the starring roles (Cara Delevingne is the name on everyone’s lips)
We loved…

PREEN

AW13 Preen by Thornton Bregazzi

Preen showed a mainly Red, White and Black palette described as ‘deluxe punk’ We love the sharpness of the pieces, the pixelated leopard prints and the silk tartan. Great detailing with outside pockets and silver zipper work and we want to wear it ALL.

SIMONE ROCHA

AW13 Simone Rocha

Called ‘Respect your Elders’ and inspired by Simone’s grannies this catwalk show could certainly be called prim and proper. We loved the use of sparkly tweeds and hand crochets giving the collection  it’s wise and knowing edge. The use of different materials as often favoured by Simone was inspiring and we adored the neoprene and wafer thin mesh fabric. The colour palette was sweet and sugary with bubble gum pinks and rich creams all beautifully put together.

OSTWALD HELGASON

AW13 Ostwald Helgason

A new one for us to watch, we love a fashion collection that embodies the New York spirit and this  small-but-perfectly-formed capsule collection is a winner. We are loving the sweatshirt trend and these guys have created a collection of hip sweatshirts and jackets using some fab brocade tailoring in royal blue and gold. Even the  baseball caps work!
